It started with a bang, and shortly after petered away into miniature biographies of dead white men which were entertaining and quirky but disjoint. Ultimately, I couldn’t see myself reading 400 more pages of it. Maybe it picks up later.
I give 5 stars to the beginning and highly suggest you borrow it from a friend for that. If you happen to read the rest, tell me how the universe turned out, will you?
