I read it despite the cover, by which you can judge this book. The writing, romance, characters, plot…when existent, weren’t all bad, but I wouldn’t say any of them were good. But maybe I’m just not a phone-sex operator and fashion designer kind of person. The sex was there and well…yeah…I read the whole thing!
One thing I wasn’t thrilled about was the excessive butch/femme dynamic. It felt like it was written as a straight book, and at the last minute, the guy was changed into a butch dyke.
That aside, this book taught me that I enjoy reading smut in public as it kept me occupied on my bus commute this last week. I caught someone reading along beside me one day in the middle of a sex scene…but of course half the book is a sex scene.
