The Happiness Project

I read it April of 2012!
2 stars!

Platitudes, banal moralizing, and unimaginative anecdotes from a self-impressed writer. There is nothing particularly horrible about this book. But I found nothing of value either in the first three chapters, and nothing could convince me to read more. Ah well!

The idea of carrying out a “Happiness Project” for yourself is wonderful! However, unless you are somewhy interested in Rubin’s rather conventional and uninspiring life, the book will probably offer you nothing more than this: “It might be neat to devote each month from the next year to focusing on one aspect of your life that might make you more happy…like your health, your engagement with your local community, etc.” Oh…was that a spoiler? You’re welcome ;-)
