Not the most enjoyable plot or characters…they both felt a little vacuous. I couldn’t sympathize with the narrator at all. But I had already made it more than halfway through before I decided I didn’t want to be reading this, so I finished. Some interesting parts and ideas. Jeanette always writes beautiful language…I just wasn’t into the plot or people.
